TRAVEL
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one’s lifetime. [Mark Twain, Innocents Abroad]

I’ve always been enthralled with traveling. Since my youngest years, I’ve had fantasies of a free plane ticket to anywhere. Traveling is a way to showcase the new and the different but also a way to connect with others and yourself. Once you go somewhere and meet someone, you can’t unmeet them. You can’t erase them from your mind. You will always know that they’re there, that they wake up every day just like you, that they experience pain and joy and celebration just like you. Imagine what the world would look like if we could all experience this other, these beings outside of us.
